Clayton Christopher named 2019 Community Dream Achiever of the Year

The Dream Come True Foundation is proud to announce that the 2019 Community Dream Achiever Award will be presented to Clayton Christopher at the DCTF Disco Dreams Gala on September 26.

Clayton is passionate about the natural foods industry and entrepreneurship. Currently, he’s a co-founder of CAVU Venture Partners, an investment firm focused on helping best-in-class food and beverage brands scale. Before CAVU, Clayton was the co-founder and CEO of Deep Eddy Vodka, which became one of the fastest-growing spirits brands in the United States before being purchased by Heaven Hill Distilleries in 2015. He started his entrepreneurial journey at Sweet Leaf Tea, a company he started in 1998 with $12k in savings and a recipe from his grandmother. Sweet Leaf grew to a nationally recognized brand and was sold to Nestle in 2011. Clayton is also the co-founder of Rhythm Super Foods, Waterloo Sparkling Water, SKU, and Naturally Austin. In 2006, he was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year for Central Texas and recipient of the Austin Under 40 Austinite of the Year Award. He has also served on several non-profit boards over the years, such as the UT President’s Austin Innovation Board, and he is still a “Big” to his “Little,” Andrew, through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
